Stages of competition
On April 19th, 2013 Moscow's chief architect has announced the initiation of an international contest for the best landscape and architectural design of a park in the Zaryadye District on site of the demolished Rossiya Hotel.
Competition for Zaryadye Park was a two-stage competition. The first stage (April, 19th – June, 17th, 2013) was the Pre-qualification stage — six teams have been selected to participate in the second stage (July, 1st – September 27th ,2013).
Totally applications were considered from 27 countries, from 420 companies, joined to 90 consortiums. The second stage is the Concept competition — selection of the winner and the finalists (second and third places).
A final session of international jury went off on November 11th, 2013 in A.V. Shusev State Museum of architecture and defined a winner project.
